FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to structural design of rotors of synchronous machines of high rotational speed. Given rotor has pole pieces which surface provides for constant aerodynamic gap. In correspondence with invention pole pieces have surface that ensures one zone as minimum of magnetic gap increasing in sequence. Technical result of invention consists in moderation of concentration of magnetic flux on only tangential edge of each pole piece owing to provision of zones of sequentially increasing magnetic gap with constant aerodynamic gap. Synchronous machine with such solid rotor shows increase of its power and utilization factor. EFFECT: increased power and utilization factor of synchronous machines with such rotors. 9 cl, 7 dwg
