SUBSTANCE: method involves segmentation of compressed programs into transport packets and their identification by first and second system identifiers, compiling interactive applications, which are associated with audio and video programs, into functional units and their compressing, generation of signal units for providing receivers with features for pausing and resuming execution of interactive applications, multiplexing signal units into packet flow in order to take into account alterations in received signal components upon reception. Unit may be designed as executed software or data. Code and information pieces of each unit are accompanied with control bits. Corresponding units are segmented into transport packets which are later subjected to sequential multiplexing for their transmission.
