FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: hip joint prosthesis with connecting fasteners on a top fixing device and on an artificial leg adjoining the hip joint prosthesis comprises an extension and pace length adjusting unit. A method of manipulating the hip joint prosthesis at least with one shock absorber for amortisation of flexion-extension movements of the artificial leg consists that the extension amortisation is set so that to avoid an extension stop still if when walking usually, a collateral leg is already raised, and/or at the first stage, flexion is not amortised. At the second stage, the amortisation is higher. At the third stage, the amortisation is permanent at a final level of the second stage.
EFFECT: invention aims at ensuring maximally natural walking habit with reliable and stable heel and the extension amortisation.
