FIELD: control of pressure or flow rate in pipe. SUBSTANCE: blank plug includes expansible bottle for diametral expansion under action of internal pressure of fluid medium fed to inlet. Blank plug is reinforced by cords moving in lateral direction in inflating the bottle, thus giving diametral support for it. Inflatable blank plug fitted in pipe with internal diameter "d" is controlled by the following formula: Pwark= ΔP+Pd where Pwark is internal pressure in blank plug; ΔP is pressure differential and Pd is pressure of free expansion of blank plug to diameter "d".
