FIELD: pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: method consists in spraying, onto carbamazepine, aqueous solution and/or dispersion of film former combined with softener in fluidized-bed granulator. Film forming agents are preferably mixtures of polyacrylates, for example, polyethylene acrylate and polymethylmethacrylate at weight ratio 2:1. Softener is preferably glycerin triacetate or triethyl citrate. Coated carbamazepine may be mixed with other auxiliary substances and compacted into divisible tablets or packaged into capsules. Method prevents growth of crystals associated with formation of carbamazepine dihydrate in presence of water.
