FIELD: magnetic treatment of water systems and crystal-optical determination of effect. SUBSTANCE: method consists in comparison of size of calcium carbonate crystals formed during evaporation of two samples of water; before and after magnetic treatment. Reduction of sizes of calcium carbonate crystals after magnetic treatment by 2 to 3 times means that formation of new scale will not take place and previous scale will be dissolved and carried away from system. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method; avoidance of scaling on heat-exchange surfaces. 1 ex
