METHOD OF CONTROL OF ETHERIFICATION PROCESS OF SIMPLE POLYETHERS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: automation of processes of synthesis of simple polyethers in chemical engineering; production of elastic polyurethanes in chemical industry, etc. SUBSTANCE: method of control of production of simple polyethers performed in mixers, batch-operated reactor-etherificator, heat exchanger and separator through stabilization of flow rate of propylene oxide, ethylene oxide and temperature of reaction mass, measurement of flow rate of prepolymer, pressure in etherificator additionally uses line and valve for delivery of reaction mixture to etherificator; method includes also measurement of revolutions of turbopump used for circulation of reaction mass and level in etherificator. Then reaction mass heating time is preset, zones of temperature control of oxipropylization and oxiethylation reactions are determined and reaction mass temperature, level and pressure in ethyrificator are corrected. After heating the reaction mass to preset temperature, additional line delivering the reaction mass is disconnected by manipulating the valve fitted in this line. Preset temperature of reaction of oxipropylation is set below preset temperature reaction of oxiethylation by actuating the valve fitted in line feeding the condensate to heat exchanger and preset temperature of reaction of oxiethylation is maintained by means of valve fitted in line discharging secondary vapor from separator. In case level of reaction mass in etherificator drops, revolutions of turbopump are reduced by actuating the vapor delivery valve and vice versa. Preset pressure in etherificator is changed through delivery of reaction mass to mixers at correction of turbopump revolutions. EFFECT: improved quality increased productivity. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
