FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, air heaters used for recovery of heat of waste flue gases of industrial metallurgical furnaces. SUBSTANCE: recuperator is made of two identical modular sections installed in the furnace flue. Each modular section contains a number of heat-sensitive elements in the form of a tube bundle, in which the external tubes (three and more) are installed uniformly and in a spaced relation around the internal tube in parallel with it, and an air flow turn chamber rigidly connected to which are the external tubes, the internal tube - through a bellows installed inside the chamber. The recuperator has an air flow switch connecting the sections to the external source. EFFECT: enhanced heat efficiency and reliability of operation. 2 cl, 4 dwg
