APPARATUS FOR FEEDING AND CENTERING ELONGATED ARTICLES Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: automatization of processes for transporting elongated materials. SUBSTANCE: rotary brackets mutually joined by means of toothed sectors and carrying centering rollers are jointly mounted in housing of apparatus. Apparatus also includes mechanism for clamping and centering articles. Said mechanism is connected with control system and it has lever, hydraulic cylinder with rod and shackle. The last is mounted in such a way that its one end may engage with said lever and its another end - with hydraulic cylinder. Elongated article is fed by its one end into apparatus, it is clamped and centered by means of centering rollers with use of mechanism for clamping and centering and then article is transported along its axis. Number of apparatuses for feeding and centering elongated articles is selected in such a way that to provide constant contact of article at least with centering rollers of two apparatuses. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of apparatus at transporting variable cross section articles. 2 dwg
