FIELD: transport engineering; suspensions. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has two supports and mechanical train, converting rotary motion into reciprocating motion, made in form of inertia mechanism whose flywheel is installed on shaft for relative rotation and axial displacement. Input member is made in form of tubular rack, and output member is made in form of friction clutch first disk of which is rigidly coupled with shaft, and second disk is installed for movement in axial direction. Second disk engages with inertia member of flywheel under action of compression spring installed on end of shaft and providing displacement of second friction disk towards wheel plane and regulating vibration damping force. Compression spring installed on end of shaft engages with friction disk and nut of screw mechanism whose screw is made on end of shaft, and nut is installed in housing for axial displacement along axis of shaft and limited angular displacement around this axis. EFFECT: provision of smooth riding of vehicle. 2 cl, 2 dwg
