FIELD: engineering of devices for suppressing oscillations of vibro-isolated objects, possible use primarily in suspensions of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: shock absorber contains two supports and mechanical transmission, which transforms alternating motion to rotary motion, having a case, connected to one support, a shaft with a gear and toothed board which interacts with gear and connects to other support, friction sleeve. One disk of sleeve is rigidly connected to shaft. Second disk is mounted on shaft grooves moveably in axial direction and compressed by compression spring. On the shaft with possible rotation and axial movement an additional gear is mounted which interacts with gears of balance wheels, mounted in the case, and containing two friction washers, positioned between additional gear and first disk, and also between first and second disks of friction sleeve. Compression spring, installed in the case, interacts with second friction disk through the washer made of material with low friction coefficient and is mounted on the screw of screw mechanism, having common axis with the shaft. The screw is installed in the case with possible axial movement along the shaft axis and limited angular movement relatively to the shaft.
EFFECT: increased smoothness of vehicle movement, reduced dimensions and mass of the shock absorber.
