Rod of rectangular or elliptical cross-section intended for positioning in bone-marrow canal is of wave-like form with bends in plane from wide side of rectangular or elliptical cross- section over its entire length, except for distal end, with equal space between apices or hollows or with different spaces between them. Minimum height between apices and hollows exceeds diameter of bone-marrow canal. As a result, rod is fixed reliably in bone-marrow canal, collar-bone splinters are secured safely in repositioning, and process of rod introduction into canal is simplified.
