FIELD: clinical hematology. SUBSTANCE: invention provides new method for protection of blood coagulation factor IX against proteases during purification and storage of blood. High concentrations of one or more water-soluble organic and inorganic salts are used to stabilize factor IX contained in solutions obtained from blood plasma or in solutions obtained from other sources in order to prevent transformation of factor IX into clinically useless protein structures such as factor IXa and/or degenerated factor IX proteins.
