FIELD: fire- extinguishing facilities, particularly, self-acting or acting by external signals powder fire extinguishers. SUBSTANCE: module has body filled with fire-extinguishing powder, gas generating substance and device for initiation of gas-generating substance and heat sensitive element attached to body wall for forced initiation of gas-generating substance from external heat flux and provision of self-operation of module. Gas- generating substance and fire-extinguishing powder occupy volume amounting to more than 99% of total volume of body sealed cavity. Module also has power-storing or supplying element, device for formation of command for operation of module and container sealed from ambient medium and secured to body wall. Container accommodates gas-generating substance and initiating device connected with power- storing or supplying elements and device for formation of command for operation of module. Heat-sensitive element is connected with initiating device and/or gas-generating substance, and /or device for formation of command for operation of module. Power-storing or supplying element and device for formation of command for operation of module are connected to stationary system of fire extinguishing and/or to some other module for formation of electric pulse for initiation of gas formation. Container cavity is connected with body cavity for discharge of gases from container into free volume of body cavity. Walls of, at least, one part of body made with parts of weakened section or body weakened material for guaranteed opening of body. Body has bracket mounted for suspension and attachment of powder module. EFFECT: provision of local and/or volume mass one-time dispersed ejection of fire- extinguishing powder into zone of fire seat. 17 cl, 13 dwg
