FIELD: fire-fighting, particularly to extinguish fires in closed space and in open air and adapted to be thrown from aircraft in forest fire extinguishment.

SUBSTANCE: fire-extinguishing module comprises body with lid and fire-extinguishant charge. Installed in the body are gas generator provided with initiator linked to signaling system for forcedly gas generator initiation. Powder body is normally rupturable under pressure of less than 1.0 MPa. Gas generator is made as perforated or combustible or tearable vessel filled with gas-generation composition. Thermal reactive fire-extinguishing powder composition charge is exothermic or endothermic mixture including oxidizer and fuel and/or decomposition catalyst and/or waterproofing agent. The oxidizer is ammonium nitrate and/or sodium nitrate and/or potassium nitrate. The fuel is ammonium phosphate and/or ammonium sulfate and/or amorphous phosphorus. The gas generation composition is mixture including ammonium nitrate and/or potassium nitrate with sulfur or polysulfide and/or charcoal or trinitrotoluene or nitrocellulose and/or aluminum and/or waterproofing agent. Thermal reactive fire-extinguishing powder composition or charge and gas generation composition mass ratio is determined from where Mge is gas generation composition mass, kg, Qb- heat emitted during gas generation composition burning, kJ/kg, Mfe - fire extinguishing powder composition mass, kg, Eact - fire extinguishing powder composition activation energy, kJ/kg. The thermal reactive fire-extinguishing powder composition charge may be formed as powder or fusion cake or concentrated aqueous or organic aqueous solution or pressed explosion cartridge or explosion cartridges. The decomposition catalyst is potassium chromate or ammonium dichromate or chromium trioxide or cuprum chloride or ammonium chloride or potassium chloride or fine cuprum or zinc or cadmium or magnesium powders or calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide or mixture thereof or inorganic acids or bleaching powder. The waterproofing agent for thermal reactive fire-extinguishing powder composition and gas generation composition is silicone.
