TUNNELING AND STOPING COMPLEX Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining machinery, particularly, devices for driving and supporting of mine workings. SUBSTANCE: complex includes tunneling machine whose body carries boom with control hydraulic system, drilling machine and roof bolting set. Hinged to front and rear parts of tunneling machine body are supporting knifes with hydraulic jack drive for their turning in vertical plane and provided with end pieces movable in horizontal plane. Working boom-like member of tunneling machine has appliance for installation of capping of temporary support with expanding props having ball-screw gearing. Temporary support is installed directly behind working member and, further on, is replaced with permanent roof bolting. Rod of roof is made of steel die-rod installed in hole drilled by drilling machine with automatic feed and secure in drilled hole with quick-hardening mortar, for instance, in form of phosphogypsum by means of injection unit. External and internal props of temporary support may be made of light-duty glass-reinforced plastic. Included into tunneling and stoping complex may be dewatering plant made in form of flight conveyor with slotted sieves and flexible cleaning members attached to flights located at preset angle to horizontal line and horizontal settling tank. The latter is separated by longitudinal partition into two chambers, one of which has flexible lateral members installed with displacement to each other to provide for wave path of water flow. EFFECT: higher rate of mine working driving and improved tunneling machine stability and its maneuverability. 4 cl, 8 dwg
