METHOD DETERMINING COMPONENTS OF VELOCITY VECTOR OF TARGET Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2143099 C1

FIELD: proving ground tests of samples of armament and military equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine parameters of movement of target by data of photoregistering ( optical ) means of trajectory measurement. In correspondence with proposed method target is registered against background of reference points with the aid of photographic registers and rate of change of picture coordinates of target is additionally measured in each observation point. Rates of change of directing cosines between directions passing through rear main point of photographic register and image of target and reference points are computed with allowance for measured rates of picture coordinates of target. Then equation of corrections type is formed for observation point by each reference point: C1k•Vx+C2k•Vy+C3k•Vz-cosQ = νk, where k is number of reference point; νk is corresponding correction; Q is angle included between directions passing through rear main point of photographic register, image of target and reference point. Determined components Vx, Vy, Vz of velocity vector of target in observation point are unknown quantities in this equation. Coefficients (C1k,C2k,C3k) with unknown quantities are computed by known spatial coordinates of target and by known directions at k-th reference point. Number of similar equations equals number of reference points used in processing. Their number, as a rule, is considerably bigger than number of unknown quantities. Job for determination of components of velocity vector of target and evaluation of precision of their determination in observation point is solved by employment of method of least squares. EFFECT: increased precision of determination of components of velocity vector of target in each observation point. 1 cl, 1 dwg
