DOUGH DIVIDER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: dough divider has blower with auger mounted within housing and provided with equally spaced blades. Dividing head of dough divider is formed as rotary drum with measuring chamber and floating piston positioned in this chamber. Drum rotating mechanism has single-cut coupling and double-armed lever with flexible member which is brought into engagement with piston at the end of stroke. Longitudinal circumferentially spaced slots are extending on middle part of auger blade in the vicinity of blowing zone. Slots on one coil of blade are offset relative slots of each subsequent coil. Slot area is related to dough pressure such that this pressure does not exceed 2 kg/sq cm during dividing dough into pieces. Such construction allows dough to be divided without necessity for periodical increase in pressure, which normally results in deteriorating dough quality.
