FIELD: medicine, namely, obstetrics and gynecology. SUBSTANCE: abdominal decompression is performed by local decompression of lower half of trunk in hermetically sealed chamber with pulsed supply of vacuum. To enhance efficiency of abdominal decompression, compensating on lower limbs is created by means of flexible sealing hose coupled to hermetically sealed chamber and compressing of lower limbs under action of vacuum brought to this hose. Abdominal decomposition device has frame 1, hermetically sealed chamber 2, lifting mechanism 3, vacuum system coupled to hermetically sealed chamber 2, sealing cuff 5 for contact with patient's body, and unit designed to check and control rarefaction in hermetically sealed chamber 2. Newly used elements are: sealing hoses 8 and 9, lock 10 fixing hermetically sealed chamber in operating position, plate 11 passing through hermetically sealed chamber 2 and cushion 12 designed to support patient's body inside and outside hermetically sealed chamber, respectively. Plate 11 is hinge-connected to frame 1. Lifting mechanism is coupled to vacant end of plate 11. Hermetically sealed chamber 2 is mounted fore movement along patient's body, and front and rear flanges 16 and 17 are made on end faces of hermetically sealed chamber. Sealing hoses 8 and 9 are coupled to the above-indicated flanges. Sealing cuff 5 is positioned on vacant end of sealing hose 8 of front flange 16. New spheres of use of abdominal decompression based on given device are treatment of sterility, varicose, juvenile hemorrhage and dyskinesia with recovery of menstrual cycle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 10 ex, 1 tbl, 3 dwg
