FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is carried on helicopter outer hanger and is adapted for intaking water from local basins and transporting it to fire zone with further discharge onto it. Apparatus has vessel with wall resiliency allowing vessel to be folded in water in vertical direction under gravity. Vessel is manufactured from water-impermeable material imparting negative floatability to it. Rigid water scoop is made in the form of top rim with asymmetrical ballast arranged in vessel lower part. Upon immersion into water, water scoop is bent by gravity and vessel is momentarily filled with water. In shallow water, vessel comes into contact with basin bottom and is deformed under gravity till water scoop is completely covered with water. Such construction provides quicker filling of vessel as compared to known apparatuses. Apparatus has drain mechanism with control system and devices for hanging vessel to helicopter.
