FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: aim of the invention is creating internal combustion engine with high degree of exhaust gas cleaning. Device has housing consisting of two parts, and inlet and outlet branch pipes. Part of housing filled up with aluminium chips is provided with external and internal tubes. Space between tubes is made tight and partially filled with volatile liquid. Outer surface of external tube between parts of housing is provided with longitudinal ribs. Part of housing accommodating layers of drier, mixture of metal oxides and activated charcoal absorber, is made detachable and is installed on end face of internal tube. Exhaust gases from internal combustion engine get through muffler and inlet branch pipe into part of housing and, passing through metal mesh and aluminium chips, get cleaned from soot and lead. Then gases get into air chamber and passing along internal tube, get intensively cooled after which they pass through layers of drier, metal oxides and activated charcoal.
