FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: extractor removes blade from scalpel socket. Scalpel is moved in and out of blade extractor along the same practically straight line. Blade extractor has swinging block which turns relative to axis lateral to input line. When scalpel is moved into blade extractor its socket pushes contact surface of swinging block thus turning the latter. Pair of pawls on opposite end of block exerts lateral force on block heel on sides from socket, thus removing blade from socket. When scalpel moves to sufficient depth behind heel blade is fed by latch which removes blade from socket when scalpel handle is drawn out. Blade extractor is usually secured to cover of container for sharp objects. As a result, one or several drawbacks of known blade extractors are removed, and simple, safe and reliable actions are performed with one band. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 12 cl, 16 dwg
