FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves using gaseous explosive mixture composed of explosion-proof components which are brought to fire zone in solid state (generators) and discharged into flexible hose; positioning hose in equally spaced relation to fire front at height of 0.5 ≤ h ≤ H/2, where h is charge positioning height, m; H is average height of trees, m; joining generators with solid explosion-proof component carriers; initiating generator compositions by filling hose with gaseous components of gaseous explosive mixture; igniting gaseous explosive mixture. As a result of explosion, focused impact wave in horizontal plane is intensified with reflected wave in vertical plane to produce guarding strip due to removal of main fire guides from forest coverage and soil cover along hose line, breakage of fire flame and suppression of fire. EFFECT: increased safety and provision for ecologically clean fire suppression. 2 dwg
