FIELD: testing of articles. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for radiographic inspection of quality of welds and cast parts, for determination of efficiency of implantation of shaped jet, for determination of mixing degree under shock wave loading. It can find use in various branches of industry. Characteristic feature of invention lies in irradiation of tested object with ionizing radiation, for instance, neutrons. Then irradiated object contacts unirradiated one, they are subjected to deformation action and are cut in plane of interest. Shear plane is machined and its image obtained by recording of distribution of radioactive particles by radiographic method is investigated. EFFECT: raised timeliness of method by its simplification and enhanced accuracy of it thanks to increase of contrast sensitivity. 4 dwg
