FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining gallbladder contractibility by means of ultrasonic examination. Echodensitometric examination of the whole gallbladder wall is carried out and pixel distribution curve is built based on the readings collected. Homogeneity coefficient Kh is calculated as the number of the most frequently observable pixels in the zone of interest M to the total number of pixels in the zone of interest T, expressed in percents. Gallbladder contractibility and Kh value being reduced relative to norm, reticular gallbladder cholesterosis is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in detecting reliable differences in gallbladder wall structure; high accuracy of early stage diagnosis. 22 dwg, 2 tbl
