FIELD: manufacture of inorganic fibers, soluble in physiological liquids. SUBSTANCE: described are inorganic fibers preparatory semiproducts of which have shrinkage of 3.5% or less when exposed at 126 C for 24 hours. Fibers have composition comprising SrO, Al2O3 and which is sufficient fiber-forming additive to form fibers, but not sufficient to increase shrinkage to more that 3.5 %. Fibers have preferable shrinkage of 3.5% or less when exposed for 24 hours and comprise, wt.%: SrO, 53.2-57.6; Al2O3, 30.4-40.1%; SiO2, 5.06-10.1%.
