FIELD: devices for sealing rotary shafts of pumps, machines and aggregates in chemical, oil processing and other industry branches. SUBSTANCE: annular groove is in the form of rectangular trapezium whose outer lateral side is inclined by angle α relative to rotation axis of ring and it is oriented outside from rotation axis in direction of sealed medium motion. Said angle value is set according to condition that axial effort moving sealed medium is more than friction force of sealed medium against wall of annular groove. Therefore sealed medium in annular groove is pressed to outer side of groove by action of centrifugal force. Inclination angle α of outer lateral side of groove provides axial force displacing sealed medium into joined ducts connected with radially arranged cavities. It provides movement of sealed medium from annular groove back into sealed cavity. EFFECT: prevention of sealed medium leakage to outside. 2 dwg
