FIELD: the invention refers to sealing arrangements of rotating shafts of pumps, machines and apparatus of chemical, oil-refining and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: the end seal has a body, a shaft, nonrotating and rotating seal rings contacting between themselves on the flat surface of friction. A ring groove of a trapezoidal profile is fulfilled on the surface of friction of the rotating ring. It is connected with the channels of cone cavities radially located from the side of the foundation. These cavities are directed with their tops outside and are connected through them with the cavity being sealed which is divided by small balls with the aid of leaf rings. The face of the outside lateral side of the trapezoidal ring groove is fulfilled with possibility of creation of a wedge-shaped ring cavity and forming of a hydraulic lock at sealed medium entry.
EFFECT: the construction of the end seal complicates possibility of penetration of sealed medium in the ring groove and excludes possibility of penetration of sealed medium outside.
