FIELD: power engineering of petroleum, chemical, food and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: air heater is primarily used in air and gas heating plants. Air heater has body with air inlet and air outlet branch pipes and heating elements, vertical and horizontal partitions with windows, chambers divided into channels and coupled in succession through air flow. Vertical partition is positioned along axis of body, and its windows in every chamber lie opposite to windows of horizontal partitions positioned along height of body and are staggered sequentially relative to vertical partition. The construction increases heat-carrier flow rate and length of channels over which it flows. EFFECT: increased heat-transfer coefficient. 3 dwg
