FIELD: prospecting of oil-gas fields. SUBSTANCE: a seismic section or cube is formed, the relation between the spectral thickness of the low-frequency part of the spectrum and the full spectral thickness of the prospected horizons is calculated. Sections of instantaneous frequencies, instantaneous amplitudes and instantaneous phases are compared with the data of the known fields, and availability of the field is judged on the basis of such an analysis. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of valuations and reduced expenditures. 5 cl, 8 dwg
