FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: laser has active medium in the form of right pentaprism. Output mirror is mounted in front of transmitting face with base sides equal to , with two dihedral angles of 135 deg. abutting against it. First and second right dihedral reflectors are mounted in opposition to each other. First reflecting face is parallel to third one and orthogonal to second and fourth reflecting faces. Third right dihedral reflector is placed between first and second ones and is formed by second and third reflecting faces. Bases of first, second, third, and fourth reflecting faces measure, respectively, (m-1)X, nX, mX, and (n- 1)X, where X is maximal general standard of reflecting faces; m and n are natural numbers (m is not equal to n). Energy flux propagates between surfaces to form figure of axial line in the form of broken line , in length, with (m + n - 1) sections in active medium. So, electromagnetic wave crosses space equal in volume to four volumes of active medium within cycle. EFFECT: improved radiant power density of laser. 3 dwg
