FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a casing at least with one hole for water passage into the chamber formed by the casing interior and water treatment unit. The chamber comprises a supporting member attached to the casing. This member restricts the float movement to the preset distance at each revolution of the float corresponding to one cycle (use) of the treatment unit. As soon as the float performs a definite number of revolutions and travels the full distance on the supporting member (as water fills the chamber and runs out from it), it stops in a position in which it is seen through the window in the casing. This position of the float indicates the end of the service life of the water treatment unit. EFFECT: enhanced convenience in use, enhanced efficiency of operation. 7 cl, 10 dwg
