SUBSTANCE: mechanism responding to expire of filter cartridge service life of water treatment device has a floating member with at least a part rising due to its buoyancy during device filling with water and lowering down after water treatment. In this case, rising and lowering present motions forward and backward from one fixed position to the other, and said mechanism has a discharge device mechanically engageable with the floating member for counting a number of fillings of water treatment device and including indicating member which turns each time when said part of the floating member rises or lowers. The mechanism ensures continuous visual indication of remaining term of cartridge serviceability. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 12 cl, 5 dwg
