FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes steel deoxidation with aluminum introduced into melt before introduction of calcium-containing materials. Consumption of the latter in terms of calcium assimilated by metal with consideration of content of aluminum and sulfur in metal prior to treatment is determined by the relation given in the invention description. Calcium-containing material is used in the form of calcium-silicon alloy which is introduced into ladle in the form of flux-cored wire. EFFECT: higher casting and mechanical properties of steel due to globularization of aluminate and sulfide inclusions and transformation of solid alumina into liquid calcium aluminate (at temperature of casting). 3 cl, 2 ex
