FIELD: wood working production, namely treating wood materials and different wood base fibrous materials or materials with identical structure. SUBSTANCE: raw wood material is heated in fluid-tight chamber until initial pressure no less than 2 at holding out wood material at stable values of initial temperature and initial pressure for time period required for heating the whole volume of material. Then heating is going on and pressure in chamber is reduced at rate no more than 0.1 at/min due to removing from chamber moisture in the form of vapor-gas medium. Wood material is treated further until achieving value of residual moisture content of medium in chamber no more than predetermined final value of that parameter. EFFECT: enhanced quality, structure and technological properties of wood materials. 3 cl
