FIELD: hydrothermal treatment of materials, applicable for drying of wood and other materials of vegetable origin.
SUBSTANCE: wood drying is performed in a sealed chamber, heat supply is effected with due account made for a permanent maintenance of the moisture content of the drying agent, and reduction of pressure of the drying agent is conducted with the use of a refrigerating plant and a steam trap, wood heating is continued up to the moment, when the amount of heat accumulated by the wood being dried and the structure components of the drying chamber will become sufficient for performing the wood drying process up to the final moisture content of the wood without continuation of its heating.
EFFECT: reduced specific power expenditures for wood drying and reduced time of drying.
