FIELD: chemical-to-electrical energy conversion. SUBSTANCE: fuel cell has case, electrodes dipped in electrolyte, channels for feeding fuel and oxidizing gases. Gaseous-diffusion electrodes are made in the form of porous tubes whose interiors function as channels; they are arranged in parallel layers so that each next layer is symmetric to preceding one; molten carbonates are used as electrolyte. Tubular electrodes are secured through sealed joints in holes provided in case walls by means of material plastic at operating temperature. Tubular electrodes of one type are longer than those of other type. EFFECT: improved service life, facilitated manufacture of fuel cells of various power capacities. 3 cl, 3 dwg
