FIELD: high-temperature energy converters. SUBSTANCE: proposed battery has pile of solid oxide fuel elements each containing fuel cell I composed of layer 3 of solid electrolyte and electrode coats 4, 5 and ring casing 2 with bore 6 in its upper part where fuel cell is laid. Electrode chambers in specified battery are formed by superimposition of ring casing 2 fitted with fuel cells 1 with butts one on other. They are limited over side surface by internal surface of specified ring casings. On top and bottom they are limited by like electrode coats of neighboring fuel cells. Grooves 7 form vertical channels for gaseous reagents, slits 8 are used as horizontal channels communicating vertical channels with specified electrode chambers. Most preferable shape of fuel cell is segment of hollow sphere. Ring current collectors 11 are positioned inside each electrode chamber contacting electrode coats of neighboring fuel cells and are fitted with current leads 12. Battery exhibits increased specific power per weight unit owing minimally needed number of used components. EFFECT: increased specific power per weight unit. 4 cl, 2 dwg
