FIELD: reconstructive surgery. SUBSTANCE: brephoplastic material to be collected, sterilized, and preserved is taken off under non-sterile conditions and preservation is accomplished at 2-4 C in weak formalin solution prepared on physiologic solution at pH 7.3-7.4, preservation solution being replaced once a month. Method can be utilized in maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, and neurosurgery (for cranioplastics). EFFECT: simplified and made less expensive material collection and storage technology. 2 tbl
