The storage life of transplants varies from 3 days to 2-4 years and over. The known materials for closing defects of the iris include synthetic fabrics, donor's iris disposed on flaps of donor's cornea, sclera, collagen film, deepithelized autoconjunctiva. EFFECT: shorter operating time, reduced traumatism and availability of ample stock of readily-available plastic material.
