FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device belongs to electrosurgical instruments designed for coagulation of biological tissues. Electrosurgical device has series-connected generator consisting of oscillator unit and pulse-forming unit, amplifier unit, transformer unit, and unit of electrodes including active and passive electrodes. Device also contains control unit with built-in unit of manual power regulation. The first output of power regulation unit is connected to input of oscillator unit, and the second output is connected to power-supply unit. Output of power-supply unit is connected to the second input of amplifier. Active electrode consists of proximal part coated through the entire length with layer of insulation material of high dielectric strength (for example, vinyl siloxane rubber), and distal part through which exposure is effected. Distal part is made spherical or hemispherical. Device generates attenuated sinusoidal oscillations with amplitude of 2.5-5 kV at frequency of 440 kHz and at repetition frequency of 20-60 kHz, which ensures coagulation without direct contact of electrode with tissue.
