FIELD: medicinal industry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making nitroglycerin sublingual tablets used for arresting stenocardia acute attacks. The novel antianginal drug has the following components, wt.-%: nitroglycerin, 0.6-0.89; glucose, 5.24-70.72; lactose, 23.07-85.42; starch, 5.0-8.13; stearic acid and/or calcium or magnesium stearate, 0.2-1.0. For making the novel antianginal agent glucose is wetted with nitroglycerin solution in polar organic solvent at the ratio of components as measured to obtain nitroglycerin concentration in dry mixture with glucose 1-12 wt.-%. Obtained mass is dried and mixed with lactose. Then the mixture is wetted with 3-10% starch paste solution, dried and subjected for dry granulation. Mass for tabletting is powdered with the mixture of starch and stearic acid or calcium or magnesium stearate. Tabletting is carried out in rotor tablet-press unit. Method provides making nitroglycerin tablets in industrial equipment, tablet decomposition time is less 60 s and tablets are stable for one year.
