FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves evaluating autoimmunization processes intensity by means of immunoenzyme assay, spectrophotometry and rocket electrophoresis by measuring some values. Elastin, collagen autoantibodies contents, blood lung tissues antigens, neutrophil number in bronchial lavage fluid, elastase activity and α1I-inhibitor of proteinases in bronchial lavage fluid are measured as the values. Means of the like values are determined in healthy people. Diagnostic coefficient K is calculated from a formula K= [(C/P)/( A+B+C)]*100%, where A is the level of elastin autoantibodies in blood in conditional units, B is the collagen antibodies level in blood in conditional units, C is the blood lung tissues autoantibodies level in conditional units, D is the neutrophil number in bronchial lavage fluid (106 cells/ml), E is the elastase activity in bronchial lavage fluid(nmole* 106cells/ml), F= E/D relative elastase activity(conditional units), C is the α1I-inhibitor of proteinase in bronchial lavage fluid (mcg/l). Chronic inflammation process autoimmune component presence is diagnosed when diagnostic coefficient K is greater than 70%. K being greater than 70%, total elastin, collagen autoantibodies levels, blood lung tissues antigens level (A+B+C) being greater than 10 conditional units, exacerbation state of idiopathic fibrosing alveolitis is to be diagnosed .
