FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patient's blood plasma is examined for the contents of matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7). If the MMP value is 7.0 ng/ml or higher, a mucoviscidosis severity level is considered to be severe, while the value falling within the range 5.0-7.0 ng/ml shows a moderate degree, and the value ranging 2.0-5.0 ng/ml - a slight mucoviscidosis degree.
EFFECT: use of the method allows higher diagnostic accuracy for the intensity of pulmonary fibrosis in children with mucoviscidosis.
