FIELD: communication systems including asynchronous distributed network ones. SUBSTANCE: clock synchronization method depends on time information received from communication satellite of global position-locating satellite system GPS. When reception of standard time information from GPS is interrupted, readings of pulse-per-second counter PPS are compared with second information of internal clock signal RTS each time the PPS clock signal is generated. If PPS counter readings are not equal to those of RTS second information signal, the latter is corrected. So, clock synchronization can be reliably effected even when time information cannot be received from GPS communication satellite. EFFECT: improved precision of clock synchronization. 3 cl, 5 dwg
