FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are designed for primary synchronization and frame synchronization using extending code for mobile station in code-division multiple access communication system To this end base station multiplies extending sequence for pilot-signal channel by sync pulse combination which saves same value for short- period sequence as for single period of same sequence but of different value at boundary of single short period of sequence. Mobile station first computes extending short-period sequence and correlation value for primary synchronization and compresses length of N microframes near boundary of single short period of extending sequence for finding combination to be multiplied so as to ensure synchronization of data frame. In this way primary synchronization and frame synchronization of signal received is attained using extending sequence of same frame boundary during extension in receiver. EFFECT: enhanced speed of primary synchronization and frame synchronization in extended-spectrum communication system. 19 cl, 9 dwg
