FIELD: agriculture and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, compression chamber mounted on frame and provided with rotary rolls disposed on compression chamber inner peripheral surface and adapted for rotating and compressing of bales. Compression chamber has lower and upper sections mounted for relative displacement one relative to the other to release portion of bulk material for packaging it into flexible plastic film. Lower section of compression chamber is connected to lower section of frame. Lower and upper sections of frame are connected for displacement one relative to the other. Upper section of compression chamber is mounted for rotation relative to frame about vertical axis, when sections are brought apart one with respect to the other. At least one lever is attached to compression chamber section and adapted for holding packaging material roll during bale packaging. Roll holding lever dispenses packaging material to bale while rotating together with upper section of compression chamber. EFFECT: simplified and compact construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 10 cl, 5 dwg
