FIELD: fiber optics, design of transducers of physical quantities based on fiber interferometers and of fiber-optical gyroscopes. SUBSTANCE: method of compensation of phase difference in ring interferometer of fiber-optical gyroscope consists in supply of stepped sawtooth voltage with duration of step equal to time of path of light beam in ring interferometer to wide-band electrooptical phase modulators of ring interferometer and in change of voltage within limits of period from zero value to level at which phase shift equals π radian and again to zero level with cyclic alternation of change of direction of magnetic-field vector in waveguide of modulator to opposite one at time moment at which phase shift equals π radian or zero by way of compensation of commutation of modulator electrodes. EFFECT: avoidance of drop of stepped sawtooth voltage, diminished maximum amplitude of stepped sawtooth voltage formed in electron path of information processing. 1 cl, 6 dwg
