FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in creation of flows entering settlers and flows containing suspended solid particles directed to starting stages of a series of washing assemblies. Any or two of the streams are mixed with efficient amount of (i) first water-soluble polymer containing side groups of hydroxamic acid or its salts and having molecular weight approximately below 70000000 and then with (ii) efficient amount of mixture of water-soluble anionic acrylic coagulant (10-90 wt %) and second water-soluble polymer containing side groups of hydroxamic acid or its salts and having higher molecular weight than the first polymer (90-10 wt %) to ensure coagulation of suspended solids. Coagulated suspended particles are isolated from the flow or flows. EFFECT: enhanced solid particles' separation efficiency. 13 cl, 11 tbl, 72 ex
