FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flocculants and method of their use for flocculation and separation of suspended solid particles from industrial treated flow. Proposed method comprises the following stages: adding water soluble polymer to the flow in amount sufficient for flocculation and separation of suspended solid particles from industrial treated flow. Note here that water soluble polymer is hydroxamatic polymer "water-in oil-in water" emulsion with continuous phase containing water soluble salt, e.g. salt containing aluminium or calcium. Treated flow represents a Bayer flow, in particular, flow of aluminium oxide trihydrate or red slurry flow. Hydroxamatic polymer may represent, for example, acrylamide polymer. Composition with hydroxamatic polymer "water-in oil-in water" emulsion comprises water solution of water soluble salt of aluminium or calcium. Note here that hydroxamatic polymer is a derivative of acrylamide or acrylate ether.
EFFECT: higher stability of water soluble polymer in storage, particularly, at lower temperatures.
